FRANCES' OBITUARY   


Frances Elizabeth Hall Goodin, age 81, of Xenia peacefully went Home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born April 5, 1942 in Xenia the daughter of Margaret (McGee) and George Hall. Frances loved to travel and lived in California and Pennsylvania before coming back to her home, Xenia. During those years Frances had many jobs, starting with her first job as a teenager working as a dispatcher for Johnson Cab Company. She also had been a receptionist for the Greene County Unemployment Office, worked in various capacities with food service companies, the Xenia Gazette and retail sales. She enjoyed skating and dancing. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, where when her health permitted she had been involved with the Ever Ready Club and the Usher Board. 


She was blessed with her daughter, Markeita Hall, whom she lovingly referred to as her “Angel on Earth.”  She also leaves to mourn her passing her cousin, Patricia Hall Wallace, and best friend: Joan Fairley; step son: David (Cynthia) Goodin of Atlanta, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband: David M. Goodin and siblings: Kenneth Ewing, Robert Ewing, Doris Hall Thompson, Emma Anderson, Georgia Seagraves, George Hall, Jr. and Marilyn Hall; step children: Vita Moore and Raymond Goodin.


Homegoing Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Zion Baptist Church, 565 E. Main St., Xenia with Pastor Gary Chapman officiating. She will be buried at Cherry Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 AM Thursday until the time of service at the church.
