Douglas Beekman was a teacher, police officer, business owner, riverboat guide, author, and motivational speaker. Most importantly, he was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and devoted husband. He believed in and encouraged everyone around him to think positively and to be their best.

Doug had a passion for his faith, his family, and any type of dessert. He is survived by his amazing wife, Lesa; four children who inherited his quick wit and comicality (Danny, Jeff, Kevin, and Beau Jay), many grandchildren, several great grand children, and his best friend Slade.

Doug was remembered and celebrated on 23 April 2021 at an LDS Church in Henderson, NV. He now rests in the Boulder City Cemetery under an oak tree.
