Kenneth Carl Linkhart, 66, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1942 in Xenia, the son of George Carl and Lenna A. (Woods) Linkhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria (Oliver) Linkhart; a granddaughter, Jennifer Huffman, and a sister, Georgianna Dudley.
He is survived by his children: Angie (Michael) Huffman of Xenia; Amy (Jason) Watson of Canfield, OH; and Brian (Angela) Linkhart of Jamestown; 6 grandchildren: Jessica Huffman; Trevor, Austin and Owen Watson; Delaney and Logan Linkhart; 2 sisters: Karen Charles and Marsha Mullins, both of Xenia; 3 brothers: Ronald (Linda) Linkhart of MI; Steven (Marsha) Linkhart of Jamestown; and Norman (Robin) Linkhart of Xenia; numerous nieces and nephews, including three in which he was especially close: Kara Holbert; Brent and Jerid Linkhart.
Ken retired from General Motors. He enjoyed Bluegrass music, camping and boating along the Ohio River. He also enjoyed race cars and spent a lot of time at Kil Kare Raceway. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Internment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
