CO CHRAN, Ronnie Lee age 71 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2014.
Ronnie was born in Hazard, Kentucky on December 2, 1942. After graduating from Xenia High School, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Ronnie retired from Navistar with over 30 years of service, where he was a Union Steward and Committeeman for the UAW Local 402. He was a faithful and dedicated member for 30 years to Greater Life Apostolic Church. Ronnie also enjoyed being the football coach for the Little Tigers and the Rolling Hills Bears.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Mae Cochran; father and mother, Harles and Marilyn Cochran; three sisters, Debbie Wilson, Hazel Estep, and Ruth McCammon; and beloved niece Sherry Williams. Ronnie is survived by his children, Todd of Springfield, Joseph Dean of Springfield, Linda Michelle "Shelli" (Anthony) Sizemore of Chillicothe, Benjamin Robert (Amanda) of Springfield, and foster son Robert Stansel of Springfield; grandchildren, Brock (Amanda), Paige, Luci (Cody) Kidwell, Logan, Hayley, Caleb, Seth, Elijah, Gracelyn, Joey, Benjamin Lee, Maddie, Hayden, Tressel, and Kailyn; great grandchildren Carson, Alexander Lee, and Quinn; brothers, Joe (June) of Jamestown, David (Donna) of Lascruces, New Mexico, and Mickey of Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Special thanks to Paige Cochran, Lisa Morris, and Kelly Winget for the love and care they gave him. Ronnie was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. More importantly he was devoted to Jesus Christ.
Ronnie was a fun-loving man that at times was a little on the ornery side. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, a good auction, and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Greater Life Apostolic Church, 200 Snyder Street, Springfield. Pastor Paul Dowdy will be officiating. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m.
