Sharon Louise Osborne Leighly

Sharon L. Leighly, age 81, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Oak Creek Terrace after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born July 7, 1941 in Xenia, the daughter of Paul J. and Mae L. (Ault) Osborne. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband: Ernest in 2005; and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her son: Eric (Ashley) Osborne; step daughter: Dawn Leighly (Henry) McFarland; brothers: Tom and Greg Osborne and grandchildren: Xander Osborne, Cameron Moccabee, Brandon Grooms and Jeffrey Payton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sharon retired from Greenewood Manor. She was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church and was active prior to her dementia. She loved her family and was always welcoming to new members. She had a sense of humor, loved her dogs and Elvis.

Memorial service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, January 9^th at McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia. Visitation will be held 10 AM Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
