Wanda's Obituary
Wanda Carol (Murphy, Woods) Williams, 83, of Xenia, died Friday, December 26, 2025, at her home.
She was born August 24, 1942, in Pine Knot, KY, the daughter of Arnold T. and Alice (Patterson) Murphy. Carol attended AHOP Church and enjoyed collecting Precious Moments and gardening. She was a member of the Amvets, Eagles, and VFW Auxiliary.
Carol was the heart of her family. She was known for her gentle spirit, her deep love for her children and grandchildren, and the comfort she brought simply by being present. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She found joy in the small, precious moments of life and will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the way she made everyone feel loved.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Casey; brothers, Otis Murphy and Pat (Kay) Murphy; step-children, Sherrie (Keith) Smith, David (Kim) Williams, Kathy (Mark) Costandi, Beth (Todd) Mellendorf, Jennifer (Bruce) Everheart, and Marcia Adams Bays; grandchildren, Jon (Brooke) Wallen, Daniell (Nathan) Whitis, and Maura Thurman; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Williams; daughter, Terri L. Woods; parents, Arnold T. and Alice L. (Patterson) Murphy; brothers, Harold and Darrel Murphy; and nephew, Jerry Murphy.
The family would like to thank caregivers Camille Butler (Trinity), Affinity Hospice, Toni Moore, and Jennifer Laird for their warm and loving care.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Kettering VFW, 3316 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH. McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia is serving the family.
