Most of us were not aware of the changes being made in the local school systems as we were attending school. This all started when some of us were in the second grade, about 1950. As Mike Lerch once explained it, "We were in the midst of a great consolidation".
The chart below attempts to trace the various schools where we all came from, and then where we went. Some of these schools were closed in the middle of the school year, forcing classes to move to new buildings disrupting surroundings and our circles of friends.
Pictures of some of these buildings, and in some cases, which of our classmates attended these schools, has been included under each school on the previous page. It has been an interesting journey.
This is how we became BUCCANEERS ! ! ! !
