OLD TOWN RUN

This school was on US 42 near the corner of Federal and Nash Roads. We're not sure how the school got this name (since it is not close to Old Town) but nearby is a small stream that slowly winds its way over to Old Town.

In those days a small school bus (maybe 30 passengers) was used to pick up students in the surrounding area.

The school was closed in the middle of the second grade (about 1950) and the students were then bused to the Xenia Township Consolidation Schools, later renamed Tecumseh.

Classmates Mike Lerch and Janet Moore attended this school.

Today the building is a private residence.
